On behalf of the folks here at North Shuswap Christian Fellowship, we want to express our deepest gratitude to all veterans of war, and to your fallen comrades, for the huge part you had in allowing us to live in a free and peaceful country. Most of us cannot even begin to imagine how horrific being in a war must be. Please accept our sincerest of thanks.
But, as awful as war is, there have been those who have encouraged us with their strong faith in spite of horrendous circumstances. The following words were scratched on the wall of a wartime concentration camp. "I believe in the sun, even though it doesn't shine. I believe in love, even when it isn't shown. I believe in God, even when He does not speak."
We believe that God has spoken, and still speaks to us today, through the amazing Book He has given us. In there, we learn that our first parents, Adam and Eve, acted independently of God by their disobedience, and we inherited a nature at war with God. He has also shown at what great lengths He went to, to demonstrate His love, in order to end the warfare between us and Him. His Son is a true Peacemaker. We believe that until people experience peace with God, there will always be war on a human level. We have learned to experience a peace that far surpasses human understanding. You would be so welcome to come and join us in worship of the One who truly gives peace.
Sincerely,
because of the Prince of Peace
